City Centre Regeneration Funding in Swansea

Our role in bringing footfall, jobs, and culture back to Swansea city centre — and how we fund that work.

Studio Café Swansea is a working example of what city-centre regeneration looks like at street level: a building on Mansel Street activated with café footfall by day, events and accommodation by night. We work with local and national regeneration funders to keep that model sustainable.

Swansea Council Partnerships

We contribute to the council's Mansel Street and city-centre strategies, supporting footfall, cultural programming, and evening economy.

  • City-centre activation schemes
  • Cultural events programming
  • Evening economy partnerships

Welsh Government Transforming Towns

The Welsh Government's Transforming Towns programme supports initiatives that bring life back to town and city centres. Our model — mixed use, community-owned, creative — fits the brief.

  • Footfall and dwell-time impact
  • Jobs for young people
  • Mixed-use building reactivation

Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF)

UKSPF supports communities, skills, and places. Our accommodation, youth employment, and creative programming map to all three priorities.

  • Communities and Place
  • Supporting Local Business
  • People and Skills
